About Pathway 2 PA
Our Story
Pathway 2 PA was built from a mentorship that became a lasting friendship.
Our story began over five years ago when Courtney was a physician assistant student at Weill Cornell Medicine. Jen, also a Weill Cornell graduate and practicing PA in plastic surgery, became one of Courtney’s mentors as she pursued a career in the specialty. Through shadowing experiences, career guidance, and countless conversations, what started as a professional mentorship grew into a close friendship built on shared values and a passion for advancing the PA profession.
Today, we both practice in plastic surgery in New York City and continue to mentor aspiring PAs whenever we can. Over the years, we’ve answered hundreds of questions from prospective students about prerequisites, healthcare experience, CASPA, essays, interviews, and choosing the right programs.
As admissions have become increasingly competitive, we realized students needed more than occasional advice—they needed personalized, hands-on guidance from professionals who understand the process firsthand. That’s why we created Pathway 2 PA.
Meet Our Team

Courtney DeMarco, PA-C
Courtney DeMarco is a physician assistant specializing in plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine. She graduated from the Weill Cornell Medicine program in 2022 and has spent the past 4.5 years practicing in a private plastic surgery practice in New York City. Courtney’s role spans both surgical and non-surgical care. In the operating room, she works alongside plastic surgeons as a first assistant across a variety of procedures. In the office, she independently performs injectable treatments, laser procedures, and advanced skin treatments. She is passionate about building meaningful relationships with her patients and creating thoughtful, comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each individual’s goals. Helping others has always been at the heart of Courtney’s work, both with her patients and beyond the practice. She frequently mentors pre-PA students as they navigate the path to PA school and is passionate about sharing the knowledge and perspective she has gained along the way. Outside of work, Courtney lives in New York City with her husband. She loves traveling, trying new restaurants, exercising, and reading. Outgoing and always up for a challenge, Courtney loves stepping outside of her comfort zone, trying new things, and finding new ways to grow—both personally and professionally.
